The seminar offers further introductions to art related media theories and to the philosophy of art. We investigate various theoretical and practical positions of thinkers, poets, and artists alike and develop together an overview to basic questions in art theory in the modern history of fine arts.

We highlight diagonal methods or diagonal approaches in art practices and art theories, which combine the sacred and the profane, the vertical and the horizontal.
